A U.S. Soldier pleaded guilty to conspiracy to murder and was sentenced Sept. 18 to seven months in prison in the deaths of four Iraqis. Spc. Belmor Ramos said he stood guard from a machine-gun turret while the bound men were shot.
South Korea will pull out of Iraq as scheduled at the end of the year, the defense ministry said today. Seoul has extended the deployment four times at the request of the U.S. since it sent 3,600 troops with a one-year mandate in 2004.
