I talked about it here, http://blog.bouhammer.com/?p=2853 a few weeks ago and have mentioned a few times here on this blog over the last year that the Taliban knows the #1 rule in combat (take out the supply lines). This is a fundamental part of our war-fighting doctrine and it has helped many, many times in battles we have had all over this globe. If the soldier cannot eat, re-arm, and have the basic comforts of life then he/she will have morale issues. Take away critical war-fighting needs and the soldier is nothing more than a speed-bump.
As you can see from clicking on the link below, the Taliban still knows this #1 rule applies to our army too.
