A little about myself.. I am 38 years old, divorced, with 2 kids. I spent 8 years in the United States Army, am a disabled veteran, and a member of the Disabled American Veterans organization. I created this site because I felt the need to express my opinion regarding American politics both at home and abroad. There are a lot of things happening within our borders that leave me very afraid for the average citizen and the rights granted to us by our Constitution and Bill Of Rights.

Not only that, but some of the foreign policies our government is enacting will undoubtedly cause problems to crop up for later generations of Americans just as our forefathers’ politics did for us. Others were bold enough to speak up, so to shall I. A true patriot isn’t just one who will fight for his or her country and it’s citizens, but also one who is willing to risk angering it’s government by calling them to task and/or focusing people on the actions it takes. Hopefully, this site will be viewed in that light. I love my countrymen and women, I love it’s land, and all it stands for. I do not however love all the choices my government has made in the name of it’s people. Thus, I feel the need to call attention to what is taking place, for good or ill.

I’m also what most people would call a computer geek. I started using SLS Linux in September of 1992, and then moved over to Slackware when Patrick Volkerding started it in July of 1993, which was right around the time that debian started. Over the intervening years I’ve used everything from Red Hat Linux to various other operating systems like Microsoft Windows, FreeBSD, Solaris, and one some of you older geeks might remember - BeOS. I currently use Debian GNU/Linux.

DISCLAIMER: The opinions expressed herein are those of the author(s), myself included, and not intended as a directive or recommendation. Your ability to in turn express your opinions are just one of the rights I defended as a United States Army soldier. I respect and encourage that right. I ask only this; if you disagree with any of the material presented, either by the author or by posters, take a deep breath and think before you post. Be introspective. Be concise. Form a complete, well thought, and above all polite response before posting. The inability to communicate politely and succinctly on emotionally charged issues will do nothing to promote productive sharing of viewpoints. We must speak rationally and intelligently to each other as individuals before we can ever hope to do it as a country. To do anything less is to denigrate each other, hide away the truth, and perpetuate that which we seek to overcome.
